About

Over the years, I have played the role as officer in many guild organizations, and as member in even more. The years passed by, until I realized that I have not once found a guild or a mild group of people with a firm standing upon leading the remainder of their clan. Now, I am no self-proclaimed expert on managing a group of people over the internet; I make quite my fair share of mistakes. I believe, however, that with the broad experiences in which I have encountered combined with the enlightened opinions from other successful guild officers, we’ll be able to finally put forth a respectable resource for guilds high and low.

I’m Sedgewick, and have been an avid mmo gamer since 2002 or so. Went to college for Business Management and have been intrigued on the effects of intra-guild workings and how players respond to “virtual hierarchies”. I have worked my way up from peasant to lead officer in many guilds, as well as lead my own in a handful of games. Raiding, loot disputes, and player drama have all become close acquaintences of mine over the years, and more importantly, how to handle such when faced with a virtual world of real people. With having a passion for the guild management aspect of mmorpgs and rare blogging resources available, I’ve taken it upon myself to ramble my insights and opinions for those who may find themselves in need. As they say, “If just one person can take something from all this and use it for some good, then it is all quite worth it.”
